VCLA Alum Appointed to Fair Board

Gloria Martinez, VCLA Cohort XXVII, has been appointed to the 31st District Agricultural Association, otherwise known as the Ventura County Fair Board, by Governor Newsom.

Accepting the honor, Gloria said, "The Ventura County Fairgrounds are more than just a venue... It's a space where tradition, heritage, and community come together. Like so many in our region, I grew up attending the Fair, and it’s deeply meaningful to now have the opportunity to help guide its future."

Gloria has served as the Economic Vitality Manager with the County of Ventura for the last 5 years. Gloria is Board Chair of the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the Santa Paula K9 Police & K9 Foundation, and a Commissioner on the City of Santa Paula Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
