What is the Ventura County Leadership Academy? Ventura County Leadership Academy (VCLA) leads a diverse group of community members, called a Cohort, on a year-long journey to learn more about leadership and our region, Ventura County.
VCLA provides cohort members with unique access to top community leaders charged with addressing the current and critical issues facing our County. This program informs, engages, connects and inspires individuals who have a desire for contributing to the betterment of Ventura County.
Our Leadership Academy is unique in that we encompass the entire County region in our scope of learning, broadening the focus beyond our immediate communities into a holistic view and approach to solving problems.
We take diversity seriously and actively seek both cohorts and leaders from all areas of the Ventura County region geographically, with an eye to be inclusive to different ages, races, backgrounds. We work with any and all sectors of public and private groups, including: business, government, education, public and human service organization and the non-profit arena.
