Join us on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 for our Leader Lunch, featuring Dr. Irene Pinkard.  Dr. Pinkard will be sharing with us her experience from when she arrived in Ventura County in the early 1970's to where we are now. She will share her incredible leadership journey as the first African American woman to be elected to the Oxnard City Council (2008) and the Oxnard Union High School District Board (1998).  She'll discuss her co-founding the Ventura County Chapter of the Black American Political Association of California (BAPAC) and what keeps her motivated to continue the work she does, including her own non-profit, the Pinkard Youth Institute.  Plus, get information on the 2024 Juneteenth event in Oxnard and how you can get involved.
